Over the weekend...

Over weekend half the heating, air conditioning, plumbing and electrical was done. Wires and pipes running every where. I couldn't go to the build site Thursday so Brandon took a video so I could see the progress. Here it is, you might want to turn down your speakers. In order for the video to fit on the blog Brandon had to compress it and now it's got a weird ticking noise! Oh well, here's the house:

Friday we were going to look at the site but all you can eat Chinese buffet (including sushi) was calling our names! Actually it was calling the Hahns and McKeons too! But the Hahns were too sick so it was just us and the McKeons. We chowed down like there was no tomorrow. We estimated that Brandon ate about 30 pieces of sushi! 3 hours after eating...I was still FULL!

Saturday we went out to the site and again...bunch of wires and pipes running everywhere! Since nothing noticeable changed we didn't take any pictures. Instead we popped over to our neighbors house for our first cook out! It was tons of fun and we introduced them to our new favorite game - Monopoly Deal Card Game. Folks you need to buy this game and play it! Quicker than the board game and tons of fun. We ended up picking up a second deck because we knew there was going to be a 3rd couple there. Worked out perfectly.

Last but not least...people are watching out for our house. Mark and Randall were out talking one night and Randall noticed a light shining around the inside of our house but didn't see either one of our cars in front. So they checked it out because 'that's Brandon and Lisa's house and no one but them or workers are allowed in!' No one was in our house but it was nice to know that our future/new neighbors are looking out for us. We are gonna love this neighborhood!

That video is awesome...its the next best thing to seeing it in person. Brandon did a great job taking the video especially going up those unfinished stairs without missing a step! Thanks for sharing!

Ah, new construction. We are hitting the 20 year hiccups at our home here in Cary. I miss the relative perfection of my newly constructed home out in Holly Springs back in the day. Enjoy the process.
